Student 1: "I don't drink coffee, I'm Mormon."
Student 2: "I drink coffee and I'm Mormon."

Don't try this at Work
If you teach at a public school in a racially diverse part of America, you should probably NEVER say (even if in complete innocence) this:
When asked by a non-white student if he could copy some one's assignment, I responded, "This is America! We aren't lazy!"
You better believe I apologized up and down and seriously had no intentions of making it sound that way. Whew. I turned red. Embarrassing.
